For marketing to be good, it has to be done with impact, quality, value, and it has to last. This is easier said that done.
I received this in the mail from my friend Matt Beall - one of the Founders of Hawaii Life (Brokerage). This is the 3rd issue of a publication they produce and mail to their contacts.
It's beyond good, it's extraordinary. And I'm sharing to show an example of what great marketing, marketing with legs, is. Why is it that good?
Reason #1 - Quality: Everything from the photographs, the typeset, the design, the copy, the research, and the way the paper feels in your hands when you're flipping through. They paid attention to every detail.
Reason #2 - Content: Nothing salesy. Every page just adds to the story and narrative of who Hawaii Life is - without them saying it.
Reason #3 - Hyper Local: An intimate look at communities that goes beyond pics and tours of homes. It tells stories.
Reason #4 - Revenue. If done right... over time, this could become a profit center (something that most brokerages/agencies should aspire to).
Reason #5 - Relationship. Somehow... this makes me like and trust Matt more.
Reason #6 - Evergreen. I can't throw it away. Because I can tell the amount of work went into each issue... and the quality of the paper, the binding, and the photographs - it becomes a coffee table book that I'd feel guilty for throwing away.
