As real estate professionals, it's easy to have the false assumption that your talent (voice) is static and comparable to others in the industry. It is not. We're often coached that marketing and hustle, and not the work of ourselves, will break us from the pack.
We're trained that if we out-entrepreneur other Realtors, we'll succeed. Hustle is critical, but it's clear that the point of "hustling" is not to be able to hustle more - hustle in itself is not a sustainable approach to scaling our business and improving our lives.
Master yourself. Find your voice.
Outsiders label those in our industry as salespeople. You are much more than that. You're creatives and the goal, regardless of chosen profession, is mastering ourselves and honing in on our voice.
Consider this image. A Master and a Beginner are similar in what the world may see on the surface. A master simply has more depth. A Master has the wisdom and a solid foundation of fundamentals. The Expert knows and shows (in speak, in material items) more than a Beginner and the world may see them as more 'successful'. But as with everything in life... there is more beneath the surface - and the difference is 'voice'.
Voice is the value found by pursuing mastery over ourselves and what a creative person brings to the world, and it’s a sacred value. Other activities - networking, social media, marketing, lead generation - must be judged by how well they support your voice’s expression.
