For most real estate agents, the majority of their business comes from people they already know. It's true for nearly every type of agent out there, whether they're small, large, new, or experienced.

This means that if you were better about marketing to these people—to your “Sphere of Influence” (SOI)—you would be selling more homes.

This is simple logic.

The perfect time to invest in your business is right now, at the start of a new year. No matter how busy you think you might be, you aren't as busy as you will be during the spring rush.

A Tale of Real Estate Failure and Success

Posted by Kendyl Young on Oct 11, 2016 2:38:00 PM

The following is a chapter from the book REAL: A Path to Passion, Purpose and Profits in Real Estate. I wrote this in 2013, around the time I launched my own real estate brand, DIGGS.

I spent 25 years convinced that I would never, NEVER, create my own real estate company.

I had a lot of reasons for that belief, but it all boiled to one huge factor. I was afraid. Afraid of failure, of success, of heartbreak, of disappointment. I was afraid I would change into a person unrecognizable to my friends and family, that I would become the evil business woman caricature of the 80s, fabulously wealthy, but hideously wrinkled in spirit, character, and soul.

People know they should switch to a client relationship management (CRM) system / software, but many are not sure why

The Secret To Being A Productive Real Estate Agent

Posted by Kendyl Young on Jun 5, 2016 6:54:22 PM

Consider this.

The average agent spends about 75% of their day in busy, non-productive activities. They are reacting to the crisis of the moment or unclear on what how to leverage the odd moments in a day. The average agent sells 6 homes a year and makes less than $40,000.

The productive agent spends up to 70% of their day in productive activity. They have mastered systems, organization, and delegation- they have more time for productive activities like listing appointments, prospecting, and negotiations.  The productive agent sells, on average, 23 homes a year, and makes $250,000.

How did they get there?

Realvolve makes it easy to build the relationships that lead to a lasting and sustainable business.

It was a plaintive cry for help by a young, up and coming, Realtor.
"I am concentrating a lot of mental energy on not dropping balls that lose people money or houses and sometimes miss balls in the form of birthdays, thoughtful follow up questions, and basic hygiene. Is there a rehab center (with spa) for people in their thirties learning to leverage their time?"

In the meantime, though, let’s talk about how you can use a CRM for Real Estate like Realvolve to help leverage time.
